Northern Forge is a Modern Blacksmith-Metalsmith shop located outside Charlevoix, Michigan. Using modern and traditional forging techniques, we create metal pieces, which are works of art.

We are a detail oriented shop. Northern Forge understands, style of design ie. French Country, Early American, Cottage, and Rustic. We excel in fabricated items, which involve the look of “Mother Nature”. Custom items are forged as small as 1/2” acorns to large estate gates. Custom work in iron, copper, brass, aluminum and bronze are forged into your personal design. Other mediums used in our finished product include wood, mica, art glass, antlers, and fabrics. Our staff will work with your drawings and ideas, your designers drawings, or we can render drawings to meet your custom needs.

Our product line includes: Estate Gates, Garden Gates, Monumental Fencing, Lighting Fixtures, Chandeliers, Pool Table Lights, Pendent Lights, Sconces, Hand Rails, Back Splashes and Furniture. We build almost anything in metal to the exacting demands of our customers.

Although we work on commercial and individual projects, we treat each one as if it is our one and only project. We also believe in communication therefore we like to involve the designer or owner in their project.
